THE PROJECT

Bass Strait Golf is a brand new travel agent specialising in holiday packages around the world class golf courses of Bass Strait. I was contracted to create a bold and unique identity, portraying a professionally ran operation providing affordable yet still luxurious tours to your keen to professional range golfer. They also required a fully functioning mobile responsive website to promote their signature tours, along with some marketing material for print.

THE CHALLENGE

I love an empty canvas, and that’s exactly what Bass Strait Golf was. A fresh new concept called for a fresh sharp logo that would make that first impression count. The challange with the BSG brand was to portray an ‘exclusive’, ‘luxury’ travel option, whilst still giving off the element of ‘fun’, ‘adventurous’ and ‘exciting’.

It’s always a challange to get brand new websites to rank well, so it was very important to build this site on a solid foundation of search engine optimised content so search engines would rank Bass Strait Golf as a high, credible option in their search results.

THE SOLUTION

In co-operation with of SATTLER & CO we first established a brand strategy suited to Bass Strait Golf’s target market. I then created an identity catered to that audience based off the already existing branding of the BASS STRAIT MASTERS.

Once the brand was right, I set forth on crafting a beautifully simple website to attract new customers. It was essential to showcase the uniqueness and stunning nature of these remote golf courses. Built with SEO in mind and a bold visual appeal the website needed to say to it’s users “Yes, that’s a must do on my bucket list.”

THE RESULT

I launched the Bass Strait Golf website at the end of 2017 and it instantly gained a lot of attention. The use of high quality photos and professionally shot video content ensured the BSG site users that this was the only way to ‘fly, play and stay’ at Barnbougle Dunes, Barnbougle Lost Farm, Cape Wickham or Ocean Dunes.

To accompany the website I also created promotional booklets and double sided pamphlets for marketing purposes and provided them with high quality printing. I was proud to complete my services for Bass Strait Golf and I know they now have a solid foundation to grow their business from.
